New moms can get back into shape with StrollerFit.

It's a common complaint among parents: there's no time to exercise when you have to take care of the kids. But new moms might not be able to use that excuse anymore because of a workout program called StrollerFit. It isn't a playgroup for kids even though they come to the session. They become part of the solution.
Diane Pokorny Wilson is a former triathlete and a mother of two. She started this franchise when it became difficult to get her workouts in.
Wilson says this "is a full body workout, it's cardio, it's interval training, we are running around this gym if you want to, you can do low impact if you want to, especially if you are newly post-partum."
It's been nothing short of a salvation for Nina Dickerman. She says that after her children were born she felt horrible particularly when she gained even more weight after her second child was born.
Losing weight after having a baby can be tough; and consider that physicians recommend a healthy woman should gain between 25-35 pounds during pregnancy.
Doing crunches at StrollerFit may be a little tougher for Maura Cohen these days, but she knows that 14 month old Andrew is happy, particularly if there are plenty of snacks.
Nina says she has been coming since July and has actually gone down two pant sizes. Another mom says that this program is "a guilt-free thing for mom to do, I am exercising for myself but still spending time with her so it's great".
StrollerFit operates year round. The program moves outside when the weather warms up.
