Red Sox 2008 Tickets Go On Sale Saturday
BOSTON (WBZ) ―
Still looking to score tickets to some 2008 Red Sox games?
If so, then set aside some time this Saturday morning.
Single game tickets for most 2008 Red Sox home games go on sale this Saturday, January 26 at 10:00 a.m. on the phone and on the internet.
Tickets to New York Yankees games, Opening Day (Tuesday April 8th against the Detroit Tigers), and all Green Monster and Right Field Roof Deck seats are the only tickets that won't be up for grabs on Saturday.
The team will hold special drawings for the right to but those tickets. They're expected to announce details about those drawings next week.
Until now, fans had only been able to buy season tickets, group tickets, Sox Pax, and selected single games that were on sale at "Christmas At Fenway" event in December.
Fans will be able to buy up to 8 tickets per person Saturday by either calling the Red Sox ticket office at (617) 482-4SOX (4769) or by logging on to
redsox.com.Fans with disabilities can buy tickets by calling (877) REDSOX-9 (733-7699); and hearing impaired fans can call (617) 226-6644.
In a press release issued by the team, Red Sox President & CEO, Larry Lucchino thanked the fans for their continued support.
"We want to thank our fans for their overwhelming support, and it is very much appreciated," said Lucchino. "We ask that everyone be patient through the initial sale and please understand that sometimes the ticket limits and methods we employ to make the ticket purchasing process fair may generate some delays. Our goal is to provide as many different fans as possible the opportunity to experience Red Sox Baseball at Fenway Park."
Tickets will go on sale at the Fenway Park box office at a later date; that date will be determined by the team in February.
