BOSTON (WBZ) ― Could the Red Sox trademark logo "B" be a thing of the past?

The Boston Red Sox announced the team will unveil new design changes to "logos and select uniforms" on Thursday. But how much will the logo change?

The topic has created some online buzz, and according to one blogger, rumor has it that the team may pick up an old school logo exhibiting a pair of red socks instead of the current "B".

The red socks logo is already available on hats for fans to purchase. But until now, the players have sported the "B" logo on their ballcaps. It could be that the red socks image will be named an alternate logo for the team.

The team stated that there are changes to "select" uniforms, which could indicate that the new logo would only be worn at certain games.

The team is set to unveil the mystery logo changes Thursday evening. So stay tuned!
