Glen Davis: 'It Was A Stupid Mistake'
BOSTON (WBZ) ―
Celtics forward Glen Davis was sporting an accessory for this year's team photo - a cast.
Davis had surgery earlier this week after fracturing his thumb during an early morning altercation with a friend.
"I feel like I let a lot of people down and it hurts. It was a stupid mistake... something I have learned from," said Davis.
He will be sidelined 6-to-8 weeks.
Celtics executive vice president Danny Ainge called the incident "unfortunate," and said the team will not suspend Davis. They want to keep Davis around so he can work out with the team.
Celtics management joined the players and coaches on the floor of the TD Garden for the annual team photo prior to tonight's game with the Chicago Bulls.
