Column: The Ultimate Reality Show

LOS ANGELES (WBZ) ― It's been interesting to watch both of these teams this series. Both are very good, but I am a huge fan of the 2007-2008 Boston Celtics simply because they are the "ultimate reality show".

Danny Ainge threw these guys together in the off-season. KG, Ray Allen, James Posey, Eddie House, PJ Brown, Glenn Davis, and Sam Cassell were all added to the mix. Thrown in and basically told by Doc Rivers to play "defense" first and win. Develop "chemistry" along the way too.

Do you know how hard that must have been?

Not knowing each other? Just playing against each other over the years...that's it. And every player that was brought in here had a pretty good resume'. Put your egos aside and play for one cause....T-E-A-M. And, get along with each other. Find out about each other.....during a play-off run too.

If the Celtics win an NBA title it will be a great lesson for every young kid out there. What we're seeing is a team, in every sense of the word.

Need a hero? How about Paul Pierce, who has been underrated in the NBA for 10 years? Watch him win a game with his defense...as he did in Game 4 Thursday night. Or, maybe Ray Allen. The sharpshooter has stepped up in every game of these finals, including Game 4 where he schooled Sasha Vujacic in the final seconds. Kevin Garnett? Could have been MVP.....

On and on it goes.....guys have contributed. And, all they do is talk about team and winning a title. Win it for each other.

The Lakers? Watch Kobe try to win a title by himself. No thanks.

Give me Paul Pierce and company any day.
