I love the games. It's why I watch sports. It's just fun to watch athletes compete. They do something we all wish we could do. I respect the games. Always have. It's an honor to cover these guys.
But I'm going to do something I never do. I don't even like to do this. And, I don't like when others do, but I am compelled to do this.
So here goes...
"The Boston Celtics will be crowned NBA Champions Tuesday night at the Boston Garden."
There is "zero chance" the L.A. Lakers win in Boston. Zero.
There. I said it. I feel better.
The Celts should have captured Game Five. They were right there. They just couldn't finish it off. Missed shots, bad starts, etc, etc.
But, hey, it happens. Kobe Bryant and the Lakers were the best team in the West this season and they deserve to be here. They are a good team.
However, I agree with Paul, Eddie, Ray, and Perk. The Boston Celtics are simply the better team.
And I know, I know, sometimes in sports the better tem doesn't win. This time though, I'm convinced it will happen. Without a doubt.
Get ready to celebrate Boston - a title is coming home.
