The Celtics overcome a slow start to beat the undermanned Milwaukee Bucks 101-89.
Paul Pierce had 18 points and 10 rebounds for Boston.
The Celtics trailed by 11 points midway through the first quarter and didn't go ahead until Kevin Garnett's dunk made it 44-42 with four minutes left in the half. They led the rest of the way behind the NBA's best field-goal defense. The Celtics have held all their opponents below 100 points.
The Bucks led 30-23 after one quarter despite missing their injured top scorer, Michael Redd, for the second straight game. Richard Jefferson scored 14 points of his 20 points as Milwaukee raced out to a 19-8 lead.
Garnett finished with 16 points for the defending champion Celtics, who now have five wins and a loss. They play at Detroit on Sunday.
