Cameron Diaz Joins Celtics For Day Of Service

JAMAICA PLAIN (WBZ) ― Actress Cameron Diaz made a surprise appearance at a school in Boston Friday.

Diaz joined Celtics Bill Walker and J.R. Giddens, Celtics co-owner Wyc Grousbeck and 125 other City Year volunteers for a day of service at the Young Achievers Pilot School in Jamaica Plain.

Diaz and Grousbeck worked on a picnic area outside the school, while Walker and Giddens ran a basketball clinic for kids inside.

This Sept. 11 is the first National Day of Service and Remembrance across the country.
