The phrase "beat L.A." now has another meaning.
Not only do the Celtics have a 3-1 lead over the Lakers, but Celtics merchandise is now the best selling out of all the NBA teams.
Kevin Garnett (#5) beat out Kobe Bryant (#24) of the Los Angeles Lakers for the best selling jersey based on combined sales at the NBA Store in New York City and NBAStore.com.
LeBron James (#23) of the Cleveland Cavaliers finished third in jersey sales.
The Denver Nuggets' Allen Iverson holds the No. 4 spot, followed by New Orleans Hornets' Chris Paul.
Coming in at third place behind the Celtics and the Lakers for most popular teams is the Phoenix Suns followed by the New York Knicks.
