Ortiz Hopes To Open 'Big Papi's Restaurant'

BOSTON (WBZ) ― It looks like David Ortiz is getting into the restaurant business.

Peter Sarmanian, the owner of Metro 9 Steak House on Route 9 in Framingham, told WBZ Tuesday they're changing their name to "Big Papi's Restaurant."

Sarmanian said Ortiz has become a partner in the business.

The town will review the official name change request Tuesday evening, the first step in the process.

The story was first reported by the local blog "This is Framingham."

There are already job postings on Craigslist. 

The Red Sox did not have any comment. WBZ is waiting to hear back from Ortiz.
