Belichick Has Cameo Appearance On 'Rescue Me'

BOSTON (CBS4) ― Patriots coach Bill Belichick makes a cameo appearance on Tuesday night's episode of "Rescue Me" on FX. Belichick shares a scene with former Bruin great Phil Esposito.

According to the Boston Herald, Belichick plays a random mourner in a funeral scene who strikes up a conversation with Esposito, a fire chief.

The show stars Bay State natives, Denis Leary and Lenny Clarke.

"It was alot of fun. Denis and Lenny are great guys." said Belichick during his daily press conference in Foxboro. "It was alot of laughs."

Clarke reportedly convinced Belichick to visit the "Rescue Me" set while the two sat next to one another on a flight to Los Angeles. Leary then made room for Belichick in the funeral scene.

"Denis was very gracious about the whole thing. He kind of stuffed me in there with Phil, it was great," added Belichick.

You can watch Belichick on "Rescue Me" at 10 p.m. on FX.
