Patriots safety Brandon Meriweather has been named AFC Defensive Player of the Week.

Meriweather had two interceptions in the first six minutes of the Patriots' 35-7 win last Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in London.

It's the third time this season a Patriot has won the AFC Player of the Week award.

Quarterback Tom Brady was the AFC's Offensive Player of the Week in weeks 1 and 6.
