Patriots Release Joey Galloway

The Patriots released veteran wide receiver Joey Galloway Tuesday.
Galloway had a disappointing season in Foxboro, which was his first with the Pats.

He had just seven receptions for 67 yards this season and was inactive for the last three games.
The 15-year veteran was drafted eighth overall by Seattle in 1995 out of Ohio State.
The Patriots also released tight end Michael Matthews.
The Pats picked him up in a trade with the New York Giants in September.
He played in just three games.
