Patriots Fans Ante Up For Giants Tickets
EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey (WBZ) ―
There's good news and bad news if you're interested in
making the trip down to New Jersey
to see the Patriots take on the Giants Saturday.
The good news: there are plenty of tickets available.
The bad news: they're going to cost you.
Many Giant fans are more than willing to sell their
tickets, and have made them available on on-line auction sites.
As of Tuesday, auction website Stub Hub said they had
3,000 tickets available.
24 hours after the Giants beat the Buffalo Bills on Sunday;
more than 200 ticket holders put their seats up for bid on e-bay. One guy's bid
is already over $10,000.
The Giants have already clinched the fifth playoff seed in
the N.F.C. and are expected to rest many of their injured and regular players
for Saturday's game. They're more focused on their playoff game the following
week.
Then again the Patriots would be favored to beat New York no matter who
was playing. Odds makers have the Patriots favored to beat the Giants by 14 and
a half points.
With a win over the Giants the Patriots would become the
first NFL team in 35 years to go undefeated in the regular season.
