The New England Patriots have selected Louisville tackle George Bussey in the fifth round of the NFL draft.
Bussey, 6-3, 306 pounds, is a native of Louisville who began his college career as a walk-on before earning a scholarship.
A compensatory pick and 170th overall, Bussey was the second offensive lineman taken by the Patriots in Sunday's second day of the draft. In the fourth round, New England selected lineman Rich Ohrnberger from Penn State.
Earlier, the Patriots drafted North Carolina receiver Brandon Tate in the third round and linebacker Tyrone McKenzie from South Florida with a compensatory pick, also in the third round.
New England also traded veteran cornerback Ellis Hobbs to Philadelphia for two fifth-round draft picks.
