patriotplace.com Is Not That New Mall In Foxboro
BOSTON (WBZ) ―
Patriot Place is a rapidly growing shopping and entertainment center owned by the Kraft family next to Gillette Stadium in Foxboro.
But did you know the person who owns the Web site
patriotplace.com is a man from Los Angeles?
Brian Hastings told WBZ he's received offers ranging from $500 to more than $100,000. But, he doesn't know if any of them have come from the New England Patriots.
The Kraft family owns
patriot-place.com and
patriotplace.net.
Hastings said he's owned the domain since the late 1990's and he does have plans for it, but they have nothing to do with football.
"At this point, I don't really have an asking price for the domain but if the right number hits me on the right day who knows," he said in an e-mail.
Hastings gets a great deal of e-mail from people interested in working at Patriot Place.
"I often receive emails which are misdirected to my site when people understandably leave out the hyphen when attempting to contact the New England Patriots. I have even received resumes from bartenders, waiters and others seeking to work at the CBS Scene restaurant."
One prospective buyer from New York was interested in hosting an e-commerce site to sell spy-cams.
The site currently generates about 1,300 hits per month - all from people who typed in the address.
