Former Patriot Rodney Harrison is generating some buzz over comments he made about his friend Tom Brady on Sunday Night Football.
Harrison, now an NBC analyst, agreed with Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis when Lewis complained about two roughing the passer calls against the Ravens on Tom Brady Sunday afternoon in Foxboro.
During one play, Brady was barely touched, but did get hit in the face and the Ravens were called for a 15-yard penalty.
The call that got Harrison fired up came when Ravens outside linebacker Terrell Suggs went after Brady's legs. Under the new "
Brady rule" you can't hit the quarterback below the waist.
It was a glancing blow, but the rule is designed to protect quarterbacks from getting their knees blown out, which is what happened to Brady last season.
Some Ravens players thought the refs made the calls to favor Brady.
Harrison agreed and said so during halftime of Sunday Night Football.
"Tom Brady, if you're listening," Harrison said. "Take off the skirt and put on some slacks. Toughen up."
