Brady: Foot Injury Not Same As Pre-Super Bowl

FOXBORO (WBZ) ― Patriots quarterback Tom Brady says the foot injury that kept him out of last night's 27-10 preseason loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is not related to the injury he sustained prior to the Super Bowl last season. The injury is, however, to the same foot.

Brady told WEEI-AM on Monday that he hopes to play soon, but wasn't sure if he would take the field in New England's next preseason game Friday against the Philadelphia Eagles.

You may recall the photos of Brady with a cast on his right foot that emerged right before the Super Bowl. At the time Brady's father said the quarterback, 'tweaked an ankle.'
