Report: Ortiz Felt 'Clicking' In Bad Wrist

BOSTON (WBZ) ― Is David Ortiz hurting again?

Less than a week after the Red Sox traded Manny Ramirez, Ortiz told the Boston Herald Monday night he "felt a click in his left wrist" in the ninth inning of the Sox 4-3 loss to the Royals in Kansas City.

"My last at-bat, it kind of pulled back a little bit," Ortiz told the Herald's Tony Massarotti. "You feel that click and you get a little concerned about it."

Ortiz grounded out against Royals closer Joakim Soria and ended up 0-for-5 on the night. Since the Ramirez trade, he's 1-for-15.

Ortiz spent nearly two months on the disabled list and missed 45 games after tearing a tendon sheath in his left wrist May 31 in Baltimore.

He told the Herald he had not had any problems with the wrist until Monday night and was not sure how it would affect his status for Tuesday night's game.
