Before being traded to the Dodgers, Manny Ramirez donated his Lincoln Continental to be auctioned off for the Franciscan Hospital for Children in Boston.

Manny Ramirez's donated Continental Lincoln is being auctioned off for charity on eBay.
The former
Red Sox slugger donated the classic car to the Franciscan Hospital for Children in Boston last February, months before he was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
All proceeds from the
eBay auction will go to the hospital.
The starting price for the car is $25,000. Bidding ends on Oct. 18 at 11 p.m. PDT.

When asked if his charity involvement was to help build a legacy for him to leave behind, Manny said, "I don't do it for my legacy. I don't care about that. I'm doing it from the bottom of my heart, and I'm doing it for people that really need it."
Franciscan Hospital for Children, located in Boston, is the largest pediatric rehabilitation facility in New England, providing the most comprehensive continuum of services for children with special needs in the nation.
