Red Sox Rookies Dress In 'Wizard Of Oz' Theme

BOSTON (WBZ) ― The Red Sox held their annual hazing of the rookies Thursday night on their final road trip of the regular season to Baltimore.

This year's theme was "The Wizard of Oz."

Junichi Tazawa was Dorothy.

Josh Reddick dressed as Glinda the Good Witch, according to the Boston Globe. But the Providence Journal reports he was the Fairy Godmother.

Dusty Brown barely fit in his Scarecrow costume.

Daniel Bard enjoyed his role as the Cowardly Lion.

Michael Bowden hid very little dressed as the Tin Man.

Jed Lowrie appeared to be dressed as the Wicked Witch of the West. The ProJo said he was a flying monkey.

Lowrie also had to dress up last year as a character in High School Musical, because he does not have one full year of Major League service yet.
