For the fifth time this season, the NFL has named New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady their AFC Offensive Player of the Week.
The NFL said Brady "led the charge" during Saturday night's nail-biting win against the Giants to make New England the fist team in NFL history to finish the regular season with a 16-0 record.
During that game, Brady passed Peyton Manning's record of 49 touchdown passes when he threw a 65-yard rocket to Randy Moss during the fourth quarter. That pass was his 50th touchdown pass of the year.
Brady's throw also put Moss in the record books with the most receptions in a single season.
At the end of the regular season, Brady led the league with 4,806 passing yards and helped the Patriots set an NFL record with 589 points.
Since entering the NFL eight years ago, this is Brady's 12th Player of the Week Award and the 10th Player of the Week Award for a Patriots player this season.
