BOSTON (WBZ) ―

Arturo Sandoval
We begin with a Sunday conversation with one of the most famous jazz trumpeters in all the world, Arturo Sandoval who is also an incredible pianist.

The Shoe Club
What woman doesn't love shoes?  There's a group of women in the Boston area that love them so much, they are formed a group called the Hello Stiletto Shoe Club, where they meet and socialize to show off their feet!   Our Sunday crew attended one of their meetings at Sally Obrien's in Somerville.

Lux Lash
Liz's favorite beauty segment is a story on Lux Lash, Boston's premiere eyelash salon, where women go for the celebrity treatment.  Whether you are in search of a more glamourous face or just a little pick me up, everybody leaves Lux Lash with a new outlook on life.

Desmond Tutu
South African Archbishop Desmond Tutu was in Boston this fall, to speak to, among other groups, some Boston High School students concerned about escalating violence in the city.   The Nobel Peace Prize winner electrified the crowd with his honest and passionate appeal for their activism.

Just Thinking
One of my favorite sights in Boston this time of year is that of the devoted long distant runners getting ready for the marathon.  You can spot them any time of the day, but I am most inspired by those who hit the pavement at first light. Whether in packs or pairs, or all alone, they are clearly on a mission. There's determination on their faces, a lightness in their step, and confidence in their gait. They attack Boston's fickle spring weather as adventure.  The city's winding paths and roadways seem created just for them. And while most would say running is more physical than spiritual, there are enough similarities to give you pause.  You are in the streets but not of them. The farther you go the harder you work, until you reach the zone, letting go in a place of inexplicable wellbeing and calm. And while your goal is most often way ahead, with each breath and footfall there is a profound sense and appreciation of the moment.

Sunday is proud to present Arturo Sandoval.
