Unity

(WBZ) UNITY
This week's show is about unity. What does that have to do with shoes? Because a good pair of shoes can pull together any outfit. We have the story of how combining the wisdom of generations of good cooks has created an amazing Cambridge business.

JESSE JACKSON
We begin with a conversation about unity in national politics. This seems to be a pretty radical notion considering how raucous and increasingly aggressive the democratic presidential primary has been. But, well known political activist, Reverend Jesse Jackson says in our Sunday conversation that unity is the only thing that will give the Democrats an edge in November.

THE DAMES
Roller derby is an American invented women's contact sport that is a lot like hockey but without the ice. It is fast. It is physical and can get violent, but according to the members of the Boston Derby Dames it is all about learning to work as a team.

PETSI PIES
In a look at Sunday food, the secret of good pie of course is in the freshness, the authenticity and the combination of the ingredients. That's why Petsi Pies of Cambridge and Somerville is the best pie place around. Petsi's success also has much to do with the integrity of its owner Rene Mcleod who not too long ago gave me a crash course in pie making.

BRING ME MORE SHOES
If you're searching for a way to pull together a great fashion look without going deep into debt, how about some new shoes. Sunday loves shoes, and today we take a look at the spring collection of designer shoes at a discount with Kerri Landry the Wrentham Village Premium Outlets.

JUST THINKING FOR UNITY
Have you ever thought about all the different shoes you wear in a day? There are the slippers during breakfast, the loafers you drive in, the pumps you work in, the athletic shoe for that afternoon walk and the stilettos that take you into that fancy restaurant and on and on and on. Shoes symbolize the myriad of roles women play… housecleaner, peacemaker and enforcer and that's all before we head out the front door. While 21 century women can celebrate more personal and professional choices, we are often pulled in so many directions, that we run the risk of an endless weariness, feeling lost and disconnected.
Finding balance is certainly about time management and decision making, but real harmony comes from within…
Remember this: You are more than what you do and more than what the world says you about you. Your best and most meaningful self is rooted in your spiritual identity that ties you to the depth and the height of the spirit of the universe, the voice that calls you beloved.
Just trying on that reality and breathing it in and out can help you step into the comfort of something bigger and more complete. And that is a perfect fit.

Sunday is proud to present Tom Lanigan and Tom Shields.
