Dreams
Today we talk about dreams.
BOSTON (WBZ) ―
NECBB
We begin with an amazing medical breakthrough that is turning dreams of healing into reality for many who are critically ill. Cord blood stem cells that come from the umbilical cord usually discarded after the birth of a baby, are now being used to treat more than 80 diseases including some that were once considered untreatable. First the blood must be captured and stored in state of the art laboratories like the New England Cord Blood bank, a longtime leader in the cryogenics industry.

And joining us from the cast are Gabrielle Ruiz and Jessica Latshaw--you are convinced they can teach me a few steps from one these famous numbers! And joining us is musical director and Framingham native John O'Neill.
Just Thinking
Lately I have had this recuring dream where I'm walking on this high wire way above a big city, and as I inch my away across, step by step, my foot slips and wake up just as I am beginning to fall or fly. It's pretty wild. The most amazing part of any dream is that instant before you are fully awake when its hard to separate reality from fantasy and it feels as though anything can happen. Of course most dreams are pure whimsy, to be forgotten in the light of day. There are those you try to figure out, while the rest slip away. Our best dreams are the ones we have with our eyes wide open. The visions that lead us to accomplish great things. Much more than flights of fancy, they are really plans with wings. Dreams have never been just for prophets or poets. We are all divinely created to call things that are not as if they are. This is not magic. There is work involved, sacrifice, and even taking risks. Thoreau suggested we can live the life we imagine, by moving in the direction of our dreams. That often is an uphill climb but with a few leaps of imagination it can be an exciting journey to the height of possibilities.
