President Bush has let two turkeys off the hook for Thanksgiving, pardoning two birds -- "May" and "Flower" -- at a traditional White House ceremony this morning.
The president says the names are better that the one's suggested by the vice president, which he joked were "Lunch" and "Dinner."
After the pardon, the turkey are to be flown first class to Disney World in Orlando, where they will be the grand marshals of the "Disney's Thanksgiving Day Parade." After the parade, guests will be able to visit the turkeys in the backyard of Mickey's Country House in Magic Kingdom Park.
The tradition started in 1947 when President Harry Truman pardoned the first National Thanksgiving Turkey.
