Flutie Flakes Making 10th Anniversary Return

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. (AP) ― Flutie Flakes are making a comeback.

Former Heisman Trophy winner and NFL quarterback Doug Flutie of Natick, Mass. plans to release a 10th anniversary edition of the breakfast cereal which sold about 3 million boxes after it was first introduced in 1998. Flutie, now retired from football, was playing for the Buffalo Bills at the time.

The anniversary edition of Flutie Flakes is expected to be released in October or November, with proceeds from the sale going to the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism.

Flutie established the Framingham-based foundation after his son, Doug Jr., was diagnosed with autism at age 3.
