Man Sues BofA For '1,784 Billion, Trillion'
NEW YORK (CBS) ―
A New York City man, apparently unhappy with Bank of America's customer service, is demanding the company deposit "1,784 billion, trillion dollars" into his account, according to a lawsuit.
According to court documents, Dalton Chiscolm also requested an additional $200,164,000.
The total of Chiscolm's request dwarfs the world's 2008 gross domestic product of $60 trillion, as estimated by the World Bank, reports
Reuters.
Chiscolm filed the suit against Bank of America and its board directors on Aug. 4, 2009. He complains that he made a series of calls to the bank in New York and received inconsistent information from a "Spanish womn," according to court papers.
U.S. District Judge Denny Chin wrote in an
order released Thursday that Chiscolm's claim was "incomprehensible." Chin has given him until Oct. 23 to explain why his complaint shouldn't be dismissed.
