Dozens of cats rescued from an Attleboro home will start receiving vaccinations on Wednesday.
Kim Penque from the
Friends of Attleboro Animal Shelter told WBZ there has been an overwhelming outpouring of support for the homeless kitties.
The shelter has received hundreds of emails inquiring about adoption, plus donations of cat food, litter and blankets. Five more cats were adopted on Tuesday.

Steve Burns called the shelter on Monday to find a temporary home for his 43 cats. Burns'
home has been foreclosed and he's moving in with his brother. He lost his job two years ago, then his wife died in arms. Although he's lost his house, he wants to make sure the cats have homes.
Later this week, the shelter will begin spaying and neutering the cats. They'll also test them for Feline AIDS. Penque says the cats won't be ready for adoption for another week or two, pending their health checks. She also says they want the cats to go to good homes.
