Helpless Cat Found Stuffed In Bag On Side Of Road

BOSTON (WBZ) ― A helpless cat was found stuffed in a bag on the side of the road Monday morning.

Poppy the cat was found along Route 110 on the Haverhill-Methuen line near the Churchill Court Apartments by a Good Samaritan. When she was found, Poppy was struggling to escape from the knotted bag.

The Good Samaritan brought Poppy to the MSPCA at Nevins Farm in Methuen, where she is now being taken care of.

It is not known who left Poppy on the side of the road, but anyone who may have information is asked to call 800-628-5808.

Poppy will be put up for adoption in the next couple of weeks, according to the MSPCA.

Those who are interested are encouraged to visit the MSPCA at 400 Broadway in Methuen to meet herĀ and many of the other cats in need of a home.
