Young Fishermen Haul In Giant Tunas

BOSTON (WBZ) ― Two young fishermen are winding down the summer with amazing stories to tell their friends.

Scott Brady, who works in the WBZ sales department, and his son Conor, 15, caught a 580-pound tuna off Peaked Hill in Provincetown August 16.

It took them about 40 minutes to haul in the 8-foot-long fish.

They shipped it to Tokyo, Japan two days later.

Another local catch is getting plenty of hits on YouTube.

Billy Edwards caught a 360-pound bluefin tuna Friday, 23 miles off Marblehead, during a trip with his father Scott and a friend.

Edwards, who turned 20 Tuesday, sold it to a Gloucester fish dealer who shipped it to Los Angeles.

Edwards received a check for $3,300.
