N.H. Bikers Hurt In Collision With Moose

SHELBURNE, N.H. (AP) ― Two motorcyclists are recovering from injuries they received in a collision with a moose during the weekend in northern New Hampshire.

Daniel and Carol Lavoie, both 48 and from Nashua, were airlifted to Central Maine Medical Center after the Saturday evening crash. He originally was listed in critical condition, but had improved to serious condition by Monday morning. She is in fair condition.

State police say the two were riding their bikes west on Route 2 in Shelburne about 6 o'clock Saturday evening when they struck the moose.
