A 3-year-old Worcester boy will require surgery after being attacked by a pit bull while sitting in a stroller.
Police say the 85-pound dog bit the child on the head inside an apartment on Aetna Street at about 12:45 a.m. on Saturday.
The boy's name and condition have not been released. Police say he suffered a deep gash to his forehead.
Animal control officials took custody of the dog, which they say will be put in quarantine for 10 days. Nobody at the home has a license for the dog, and authorities say there were no records of the dog having updated shots.
