Mechanic Saves Dog Stuck Under Car's Hood

BOSTON (WBZ) ― A mechanic in California was startled by a pit bull when he popped the hood of a car to fix it.

He said he never expected to find two eyes staring back at him.

"I opened up the hood and started to go for the power steering fluid, and there were a pair of eyes and the dog going grrrr, I was like, ughhh."

The pitt bull had somehow climbed up into the truck and gotten stuck. The mechanic's daughter works with animals so he called her, and she was able to get the dog out safely.

The truck isn't doing as well. The mechanic says the dog did about $1,000 worth of damage.
