Wampanoag, Pilgrim Looking For Home On Turkey Day

PLYMOUTH (AP) ― Got room for two more people at your Thanksgiving table?

Plimoth Plantation is auctioning off a Thanksgiving Day appearance in your home by a native Wampanoag man and a colonial English pilgrim, in costume and in character, to join your family for the holiday meal.

The offer is up for bidding on eBay as "Guess Who's Coming To Dinner?"

Plimoth Plantation spokeswoman Jennifer Monac says bidding ends October 11. As of the afternoon of Oct. 6, a bid had been entered for $5,000.

The winner must also pay for round-trip transportation and a two-night hotel stay for the interpreters. Other details are included in the eBay listing or at Plimouth.org.

The winner may choose to have the interpreters attend an event other than a family dinner, such as an event for a company or organization.
Plimoth Plantation is a living history attraction with a settlers' village that recreates everyday life among the Pilgrims in 1627.
