It started on the 24th and ended on the
28th and amounted to 26.3" in Boston with much higher impressive amounts north
of Boston such as Rockport at 39" and Portsmouth at 33.8" up to 56" at Long
Falls Dam in Maine and 77" at Pinkham Notch, New Hampshire.
A storm was locked
into an atmospheric block and kept wobbling and looping near and just south of
the New England coast maintaining continuous snow for a bit over 101 hours in
Boston.
