Wednesday's Child: 10-Year-Old Jordan
BOSTON (WBZ) ―
Jordan is a friendly, happy-go-lucky boy who enjoys adult attention. He is ready for the love and stability of an adoptive home.
An inquisitive, adventurous 10-year-old, Jordan is open to trying many types of activities. He especially enjoys swimming, riding his bicycle and doing arts and crafts. Jordan's favorite sport is football, and he may like to be a fireman or an artist when he gets older.
At school, Jordan is working at grade level, and trying hard to build positive peer relationships. In the fall, he will be entering the fifth grade. With the support of his residential home, Jordan has made significant progress on behavioral issues.
Legally free for adoption, Jordan would do well in a two-parent household with no children or one other child. Although Jordan has expressed an interest in having a mother, he sometimes has difficulty developing a sense of trust with females. It is important that the family has great communication with one another, gives Jordan the support he needs, and helps him maintain contact with his brother.
To learn more about Jordan, and about adoption from foster care, call the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) at 617-54-ADOPT (617-542-3678) or visit
www.mareinc.org. The sooner you call, the sooner a waiting child will have "a permanent place to call HOME."
