Wednesday's Child: 14-Year-Old Nick
BOSTON (WBZ) ―
Nicholas, or "Nick" to his friends, is an engaging and endearing Caucasian teen. He is patient and kind, and he enjoys helping others. Nick is ready to find a permanent loving family to call his own.
Nick, 14, is currently in the eighth grade where he works hard. He excels in math; reading and English are more challenging for him. In his spare time, Nick enjoys using computers and playing video games, but he also loves being outside, riding his bicycle, as well as playing basketball and other sports.
Nick is doing well in his current foster home and is polite and respectful towards authority figures. He is making great gains with the help of his Individualized Educational Plan and therapy. Nick needs a family that will be there for him and support him as he grows and moves past the losses he endured. If there were other children in the home, it would be best if there were no children close in age to Nick.
Legally free for adoption, Nick would benefit greatly from a single or two-parent family that can give him the love and attention he craves.
To learn more about Nick, and about adoption from foster care, call the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) at 617-54-ADOPT (617-542-3678) or visit
www.mareinc.org. The sooner you call, the sooner a waiting child will have "a permanent place to call HOME."
