25th Annual Ski Race For Wednesday's Child

Join Jack Williams At Waterville Valley On March 14

Waterville Valley, N.H. (WBZ) ― The skiing conditions are the best in years and everything is set for this year's Ski Race for Wednesday's Child at Waterville Valley, N.H. Hundreds of racers in all skill levels take part each year, to raise money for special needs adoptions. This year's race is Saturday, March 14.

For 25 years, friends of Wednesday's Child have gathered in the White Mountains for a day of skiing, followed by food and fun at the Waterville Valley Conference Center.

"We've kept the entry fee the same all of these years so families can afford to come and enjoy the day together," said WBZ's Jack Williams. Jack and his wife Marci founded Wednesday's Child to help find adoptive homes for local children.

This is the 25th Ski Race for Wednesday's Child. Despite predictions of poor weather, last year's race and reception raised $390,000 for special needs adoption.

There are races for all classes of skiers, even beginners, as well as corporate team racing and smaller family teams. Prizes also are given for some unusual combination of skiers, like Father-Daughter, Mother-Son and many more.

If you want to take part in a day and night of fun and raise money for special needs adoption, Jack invites you to join him at Waterville Valley on March 14.. Details and entry forms can be found on Jack's Wednesday's Child web site.
