Wednesday's Child: 9-Year-Old Nickolas
(WBZ)
Nickolas is a bright and athletic nine-year-old African American boy who enjoys all types of sports. Basketball, ice-skating, skateboarding and bike riding are among his favorites. He currently lives in a foster home where he is affectionate with his foster mother and has a healthy bond.
In school, Nickolas attends a small classroom and does well academically.
Overall, he is a happy boy who is usually confident, but can be hard on himself at times.
Nickolas will need to continue in individual counseling to address his emotional needs and issues from his past. As he does best with a great deal of attention and redirection, Nickolas would be better suited in a
two-parent family with older children. He is legally for adoption.
To learn more aboutÂ
Nickolas, and about adoption from foster care, call the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) at 617-54-ADOPT (617-542-3678) or visit www.mareinc.org. The sooner you call, the sooner a waiting child will have "a permanent place to call HOME."
