Wednesday's Child: Siblings Tahmeika and Denzel
BOSTON (WBZ) ―
A brother and sister, who share a real love of dogs, are looking to be reunited in an adoptive family.
Tahmeika and Denzel's Story: Tahmeika and Denzel are African American siblings who share a close relationship.
When around others they trust, both become talkative and outgoing. Denzel, 15, is a wonderful older brother to Tahmeika, and appreciates their loyal and supportive relationship. These siblings hope to find a permanent family where their close relationship can continue to grow. Both Denzel and Tahmeika would do well with a family who sets clear, consistent expectations, and provides positive encouragement.
Tahmeika is a well-spoken, bright 14-year-old. She loves animals and would eventually like to pursue a career that aligns with this interest. Tahmeika also enjoys roller-skating, spending time with her brother and listening to music. At school, Tahmeika does well academically and behaviorally. She is enrolled in regular education classes, and excels through supportive relationships with her teachers.
At home with her foster family, Tahmeika thrives with clear expectations and encouragement.
Just a year older than his sister, Denzel can be talkative and friendly. He is proud of the good grades he earns at his therapeutic day school, which gives him with the supervision and support he needs. He hopes to one day transition into a public high school or tech school. In his free time, Denzel enjoys movies, video games, spending time with his sister and walking around the mall. Denzel needs a family that can continue to give him emotional support, while providing direction, clear expectations, and prompting to follow a daily routine.
Legally free for adoption, Tahmeika and Denzel wish to be with a strong two-parent or single-parent family with or without siblings. They would prefer to be with a family that shares their heritage, but are open to other options. Tahmeika and Denzel would do best in a family that can provide them with the structure, support, and supervision that they need to lead healthy and happy lives.
