Wednesday's Child: Brian, John And Anthony

BOSTON (WBZ) ― Brian, John and Anthony are siblings of African American and Caucasian descent who hope to find a family they can grow up in together. They share a close bond and look out for each other.

The oldest of the trio, 10-year-old Brian likes drawing, watching television, riding his bicycle and playing sports. He can be quiet and needs to be drawn into conversation. Brian enjoys helping around his foster home and walking the family dog. Brian repeated the second grade and is now in the third grade. He can become easily frustrated and does best with structure and consistency. Brian attends weekly therapy and will be entering a special education program next year.

John is a caring, affectionate 9-year-old who enjoys talking to people and receiving attention. His interests are similar to his brother's and include drawing and playing outside. John does well with redirection to stay on task and attends weekly therapy to help with his emotional needs.

As the youngest, 6-year-old Anthony likes being independent and trying to figure out things on his own. He is a sweet, loving boy who is especially caring with the younger children in the foster home. Anthony has gymnastic abilities and likes playing outside and playing with his toy cars. Anthony is in kindergarten and receives no special education services.

Legally free for adoption, these brothers are in need of a two-parent home with a strong male role model. They would do well as the only or youngest children in a home that allows them contact with their sister and mother three to four times a year.

To learn more about Brian, John and Anthony and about adoption from foster care, call the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) at 617-54-ADOPT (617-542-3678) or visit www.mareinc.org. The sooner you call, the sooner a waiting child will have "a permanent place to call HOME."
