WBZ
Dakota, soon to be 7, is a friendly, outgoing and inquisitive little boy of Caucasian descent. This little bundle of energy enjoys staying busy and already excels at sports.
Dakota is doing well in his current foster home where he gets along with the other children and enjoys the attention he receives from the adults in his life. His social worker is seeking a permanent family for Dakota where he will have all the opportunities to continue developing and thriving.
At school, Dakota benefits from the services he receives from his Individualized Educational Plan, as well as the structure that is provided there. In his free time, he also enjoys learning and asking questions. One of his favorite television shows is PBS' "Wordgirl." He delights in practicing the new words he has learned; the latest is "articulate."
Dakota enjoys doing just about any outdoor activity. He likes climbing trees and is looking forward to playing T-Ball in the spring. While indoors, Dakota has fun playing with trucks and balls, building with LEGOS and playing video games.
Legally free for adoption, Dakota would do well in an active, two-parent family with or without other children. An ideal family would be comfortable with Dakota maintaining contact with his biological sister and her adoptive family, as well as his biological father. Dakota has a lot of potential and much to bring to a family that can offer him the consistency and love that he needs to succeed.
To learn more about Dakota, and about adoption from foster care, call the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) at 617-54-ADOPT (617-542-3678) or visit
www.mareinc.org. The sooner you call, the sooner a waiting child will have "a permanent place to call HOME."
