Wednesday's Child: 12-Year-Old Donald

BOSTON (WBZ) ― Donald is an expressive and sensitive 12-year-old Caucasian boy. He enjoys many summer activities, including hiking, fishing, riding his bicycle, swimming and camping. He also loves to garden and takes great pride in the vegetables that he grows. Donald is looking forward to joining an active family that might share his love of the outdoors.

Donald likes spending time with adults whether it be doing chores or playing games. He is a willing helper with yard work and cooking. Indoors, Donald likes to play video games, watch movies and play cards. He is an affectionate boy who thrives on individual attention and being around those who have a good sense of humor.

Donald is currently in the seventh grade. His favorite subject is math. In the future, Donald hopes to attend college and become a police officer.

Legally free for adoption, Donald would do best in a two-parent home in which he were the only or youngest child. He would benefit from an adoptive family that is structured, consistent and firm with their rules, but also loving and nurturing. Donald would like to remain in contact with his siblings.

To learn more about Donald, and about adoption from foster care, call the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) at 617-54-ADOPT (617-542-3678) or visit mareinc.org. The sooner you call, the sooner a waiting child will have "a permanent place to call HOME."
