Wednesday's Child: 8-Year-Old AJ
BOSTON (WBZ) ―
Anthony, who goes by AJ, is a charming, quick witted and engaging Caucasian youngster. He is helpful and kind towards others. AJ is doing well in his foster home, but is ready for the love, stability and understanding of a permanent, adoptive home.
Like many boys his age, soon to be 9-year-old AJ loves spending time with his friends. His interests include riding his bike, playing outdoors, gardening and swimming. During quieter moments, he likes reading and watching baseball on television. In the future, he may want to put his personality and talents to use as a school bus driver.
This second grader is progressing in the classroom with the help of an individualized education plan. He names science and math as his favorite subjects. With support, he continues to work through the emotional and behavioral challenges that result from his past.
Legally free for adoption, AJ would fit in with a single female or two-parent household in which he can be the youngest or only child. He would thrive in a consistent setting where rules and expectations are clear. AJ loves animals and would welcome a pet dog in his home. AJ is a bright and thoughtful youngster who will bring a great deal of fun and love to a family.
