Kyle is a likeable and engaging 10-year-old boy who says he wants to grow up to be either a musician or a veterinarian.
He is hoping to soon join a family in which he will receive love, stability and a sense of security.
In his spare time, Kyle generally prefers solitary activities.
He likes playing video games and watching cartoons and mysteries on television.
Kyle also enjoys attending an afterschool program, and he recently started taking clarinet lessons.
Kyle is animal lover, and especially likes cats.
He is currently in a fourth grade classroom, which has a small teacher to child ratio.
With extra supports, he is working at grade level and is doing well overall.
Kyle can be a perfectionist and hard on himself to do things just right.
His favorite subject in school is music.
Legally free for adoption, Kyle would do best in a two-parent home in which he is either the only or youngest child.
Kyle's social worker is seeking an experienced family that can provide a great deal of structure and support Kyle's emotional and behavioral needs.
After he is placed in an adoptive home, Kyle will need to stay in touch with siblings and his grandparents.
To learn more about Jalen, and about adoption from foster care, call the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) at 617-54-ADOPT (617-542-3678) or visit
www.mareinc.org. The sooner you call, the sooner a waiting child will have "a permanent place to call HOME."
