WBZ
Sean, 8, is a sweet Caucasian boy in need of a permanent loving family. He is usually shy with people at first, but is very responsive to affection and attention. He loves to help out and he feels good about himself when he does.
In his spare time, Sean loves listening to all types of music, including jazz. He also enjoys playing outside and wants to learn how to ride a bicycle. Sean is a sports fan and likes basketball, football, as well as swimming. Indoors, Sean likes playing with LEGOS. He enjoys eating well, and his favorite foods are pepperoni pizza, fish and carrots.
Sean has suffered many losses in his young life and is working on past issues through therapeutic play. In school, Sean has an Individualized Educational Plan to address his cognitive challenges. Sean is also learning how to ask to have his needs met during emotionally stressful times.
Legally free for adoption, Sean is a loving youngster who would be a wonderful addition to a family with no other children, or perhaps much older children. Sean is looking forward to have a backyard to play in and pets, possibly a dog. The family should be open to the possibility that Sean may require occasional visits with his sister.
To learn more about Sean, and about adoption from foster care, call the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) at 617-54-ADOPT (617-542-3678) or visit
www.mareinc.org. The sooner you call, the sooner a waiting child will have "a permanent place to call HOME."
