With a bright smile and a positive attitude, 11-year-old Steven readily participates in any type of outdoor activity. He is currently taking horseback riding lessons at a local farm, and he loves the experience. Steven is eager to belong in a family of his own, especially one in which he could have a dog as a pet. He adores all kinds of animals.
Steven is a sweet, helpful youngster of Caucasian and Hispanic descent who has made continuous progress both academically and socially. He strives to please others he is always the first to volunteer in his classroom. Steven has said he wants to become a police officer or a soldier when he gets older so he can help people.
Steven has benefited from the guidance, structure and attention he has received in his foster home and at school. Steven is in small classroom setting where he has an Individualized Educational Plan. Though Steven struggles in certain subjects, he puts forth tremendous effort. Science is his favorite subject, and he enjoys any type of hands-on learning. Like most boys his age, Steven likes challenging himself with video games and playing on the computer in his spare time.
Legally free for adoption, Steven would do well with a variety of family constellations. He would thrive in a patient, understanding family with the determination to help Steven reach his potential. It is important that Steven's family be willing to support his contact with his siblings. Steven's special wish is to have a permanent family to love.
