Wednesday's Child: 15-year-old Justine

BOSTON (WBZ) ― Justine is a laid back Caucasian teenager who likes to keep busy. She is a goal-oriented young woman who is good at expressing how she feels and advocating for herself. Justine would like to find a permanent family that will support her as she strives towards her aspirations.

Currently, Justine lives in a foster home where she is doing well. She is respectful and follows household rules. In her spare time, 15-year-old Justine enjoys spending time at the YMCA playing basketball and weightlifting. She enjoys listening to all types of music. She is also a member of the Gay Straight Alliance at her high school.

An all around athlete, Justine also loves playing softball. She may like to pursue a college degree in sports and fitness. Justine is now a high school sophomore and is taking honors classes. Justine's goals have inspired her to work hard in school, and her effort is reflected in her grades.

Justine is open to all types of families, as long as they love and accept her. She would progress well in an active family with or without other children that will encourage her interests in sports. Justine is legally free for adoption, but an ideal family will help her maintain contact with members of her birth family.

To learn more about Justine, and about adoption from foster care, call the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) at 617-54-ADOPT (617-542-3678) or visit www.mareinc.org. The sooner you call, the sooner a waiting child will have "a permanent place to call HOME."
