New Mass. Transportation Agencies Grind To Life
BOSTON (AP) ―
The state's revamped transportation bureaucracy is grinding to life.
The board of directors at the new Massachusetts Department of Transportation meets Monday to approve the design and construction of an interchange at Exit 8B on Route 24.
The project is being funded with federal stimulus money.
Hours later, the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority board meets to complete a series of contracts.
Both boards were revamped under a bureaucratic realignment that took effect Nov. 1.
